Background Information
SCUBE3 is a secreted glycoprotein that belongs to the SCUBE family. Members of the SCUBE family are secreted plasma membrane-associated proteins characterised by a N-terminal signal peptide sequence, multiple EGF domains, a N-linked glycosylated spacer region and a C-terminal CUB region. SCUBE3 may play a role in bone cell biology (PMID: 15234972). It may also has a role in the regulation of cardiac growth and remodeling responses (PMID: 17442284). Besides, SCUBE3 has been reported to be involved in lung cancer progression (PMID: 21441952; 23420440).

Publications
What published studies show
The SCUBE3 Polyclonal antibody (Cat# 16773-1-AP) has 2 total citations. One appeared in Molecular Cell Endocrinology (2023), studying β-catenin/TCF4-induced SCUBE3 upregulation in ovarian cancer via the HIF-1 signaling pathway using WB. The other was published in Gene (2018), analyzing microRNA and mRNA expression profiles in salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma using IHC. The research fields span ovarian cancer biology and salivary gland tumor molecular profiling.

Reviews
What customers say
The single review for this antibody, used in Western Blot, reports that the expected band size is 109 kD, yet the antibody detected a major band at 60 kD. A very weak band around 130 kD was also observed, but it was PNGaseF-insensitive, indicating it is not a glycosylated form of the target protein. Overall, the reviewer expressed dissatisfaction with the specificity and molecular weight recognition of the antibody.
The reviews below have been submitted by verified Proteintech customers who received an incentive for providing their feedback.
Boyan (Verified Customer) (10-04-2021) | Calculated band is 109 kd. This antibody recognized a major band at 60 kd. There was a very weak band ~130 kd, but was PNGaseF insensitive, suggesting this band is not a glycosylated form of this protein.
