Background
Ras-related protein R-Ras2 (RRAS2) is also named TC21 and Teratocarcinoma oncogene. The RRAS2 member of the RAS-related subfamily, also known as TC21, is a close relative of the classic RAS GTPases (PMID: 3898776). RRAS2, a member of the R-Ras subfamily of Ras-like low-molecular-weight GTPases, is located in the plasma membrane and functions as a signal transducer (PMID: 38601074). RRAS2 is GTP-binding protein with GTPase activity, involved in the regulation of MAPK signaling pathway and thereby controlling multiple cellular processes (PMID: 31130282).
