Background Information
AURKAIP1 (Aurora-A kinase interacting protein 1) has been identified as an Aurora-A kinase interacting protein involving in two degradation pathways of Aurora-A, including proteasome-dependent pathway and Ub-independent pathway . Ectopic expression of AURKAIP1 resulted in the down-regulation of Aurora-A protein levels and thus, AURKAIP1 could be regarded as a cancer suppressor involving Aurora-A pathway.(PMID: 38040691,PMID: 17125467)
