  EL-4 cells were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 83451-4-RR (CD5 antibody) at dilution of 1:1000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 83451-4-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 9.0). This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 83451-4-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 9.0). This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 83451-4-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  Affinity and Kinetic Characterization of 83451-4-RR

  Biolayer interferometry (BLl) kinetic assays of 83451-4-RR against Mouse CD5 were performed. The affinity constant is 89.9 pM.

Background Information

CD5 is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein of the scavenger receptor cysteine-rich family (PMID: 12403363). CD5 is expressed on a majority of thymocytes, mature T cells, B cell subsets, and peripheral blood dendritic cells (PMID: 9858516; 6156984; 10379049; 1384337). CD5 may act as a receptor in regulating T-cell proliferation. It functions as a negative regulator of TCR signaling during thymocyte development (PMID: 7542801).
