  FC experiment of HepG2 using 98595-2-RR (same clone as 98595-2-PBS)

  1x10^6 HepG2 cells were surface stained with 0.25 ug Anti-Human CX3CL1 Rabbit RecAb (98595-2-RR, Clone: 251665D12) (red) or 0.25 ug Rabbit IgG Isotype Control RecAb (98136-1-RR, Clone: 240953C9) (blue), and CoraLite647-conjugated F(ab')2 Fragment Donkey Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) (SA00014-7). Cells were not fixed. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 98595-2-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Background Information

CX3CL1, also known as fractalkine, is a transmembrane chemokine that acts as a ligand for both CX3CR1 and integrins αvβ3 and α4β1 (PMID: 9479488; 23125415). CX3CL1 is expressed by many hematopoietic and nonhematopoietic cells, including macrophages, endothelial cells, neurons, and fibroblasts. It is involved in immune responses and inflammation (PMID: 21045240). CX3CL1 exists in a membrane-anchored molecule and a soluble form, generated by proteolytic cleavage (PMID: 11495925; 12714508).
