Background Information
DENND4A (DENN domain-containing protein 4A), also called IRLB and MYCPBP, is a probable guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) that may activate RAB10. It can promote the exchange of GDP to GTP, converting inactive GDP-bound Rab proteins into their active GTP-bound form. It may bind to the ISRE-like element (interferon-stimulated response element) of the MYC P2 promoter (PMID: 20937701; 8056341).
