Background Information

EFCAB1, also known as Calaxin, is a gene that encodes a protein involved in the function of cilia and flagella, which are hair-like structures protruding from the surface of certain cells. Research indicates that EFCAB1 overexpression inhibits cell proliferation, migration, and invasion while promoting apoptosis in lung adenocarcinoma cells.
