  WB analysis using 83933-1-RR (same clone as 83933-1-PBS)

  Non-treated and pervanadate treated HeLa cells were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 83933-1-RR (Phospho-FAK (Tyr397) antibody) at dilution of 1:1000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. The membrane was stripped and re-blotted with Beta Actin (66009-1-Ig) antibody as a loading control. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 83933-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  Immunofluorescent analysis of (4% PFA) fixed A549 cells using Phospho-FAK (Tyr397) antibody (83933-1-RR, Clone: 240630F8 ) at dilution of 1:250 and CoraLite®488-Conjugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L) (SA00013-2), CL594-Phalloidin (red). This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 83933-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Background Information

FAK (Focal adhesion kinase 1) is also named as FAK1, FADK, pp125FAK, FAK and belongs to the protein kinase superfamily. It is a critical tyrosine kinase that modulates cell adhesion, migration, proliferation and survival in response to extracellular signals (PMID:19664602). It also acts as a pivotal signal 'integrator', controlling and coordinating cellular responses that include cell migration, survival, proliferation and, epithelial tissue repair after DNA damage (PMID:20966971). This protein has some isoforms produced by alternative splicing and contains several phosphorylation and SUMOylation modification sites.
