Background Information
The 714-amino acid FRMD7 protein contains an N-terminal FERM domain and FERM-adjacent (FA) domain. FRMD7 shares close homology with FARP1 (FERM, RhoGEF, and pleckstrin domain protein 1) as well as FARP2. FRMD7 also promotes neurite elongation at the actin-rich growth cone ends through the modulation of the actin cytoskeleton.
