• 

  WB analysis using 60337-1-Ig (same clone as 60337-1-PBS)

  Various lysates were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 60337-1-Ig (HEXA antibody) at dilution of 1:20000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. The membrane was stripped and reblotted with HRP-conjugated GAPDH Monoclonal antibody (HRP-60004) as loading control. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 60337-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  WB analysis of A431 using 60337-1-Ig (same clone as 60337-1-PBS)

  A431 cells were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 60337-1-Ig (HEXA Antibody) at dilution of 1:5000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 60337-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Background Information

Beta-hexosaminidase subunit alpha is involved in catalysis of degradation of the ganglioside GM2. Disfunction of beta-hexosaminidase leads to an accumulation of GM2 ganglioside in neurons and neurodegenerative disorders termed the GM2 gangliosidoses. The enzyme is composed of two subunits, alpha and beta. This gene encodes alpha subunit of beta-hexosaminidase. Western blot with this antibody raised against HEXA detected 60 kDa (precursor) and 54 kDa (mature) size bands (PMID: 27682588, PMID: 30341570).
