  FC experiment of human PBMCs using 98794-2-RR (same clone as 98794-2-PBS)

  1x10^6 human PBMCs were surface stained with 0.25 ug Anti-Human Integrin alpha 4 Rabbit RecAb (98794-2-RR, Clone: 252683F9) or 0.25 ug Rabbit IgG Isotype Control Recombinant Antibody (98136-1-RR, Clone: 240953C9), and PE-Conjugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L). Cells were then stained with CoraLite® Plus 750 Anti-Human CD14 Rabbit Recombinant Antibody (CL750-98040, Clone: 230332D7). Cells were incubated with FC Receptor Block prior to staining. Cells were not fixed. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 98794-2-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Background Information

Integrin alpha 4 (ITGA4), also named CD49D, belongs to the integrin alpha chain family. ITGA4 is a receptor for fibronectin, VCAM1, and MADCAM1. ITGA4 recognizes one or more domains within the alternatively spliced CS-1 and CS-5 regions of fibronectin. It recognizes the sequence Q-I-D-S in VCAM1. It recognizes the sequence L-D-T in MADCAM1. On activated endothelial cells, ITGA4 triggers homotypic aggregation for most VLA-4-positive leukocyte cell lines. It may also participate in cytolytic T-cell interactions with target cells.
