  WB analysis of human saliva using 84140-1-RR (same clone as 84140-1-PBS)

  human saliva were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 84140-1-RR (Lysozyme antibody) at dilution of 1:10000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 84140-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  IHC staining of human tonsillitis using 84140-1-RR (same clone as 84140-1-PBS)

  Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded human tonsillitis tissue slide using 84140-1-RR (Lysozyme antibody) at dilution of 1:400 (under 10x lens). Heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 9.0). This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 84140-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  Affinity and Kinetic Characterization of 84140-1-RR

  Biolayer interferometry (BLl) kinetic assays of 84140-1-RR against Human Lysozyme were performed. The affinity constant is 133 nM.

Background Information

LYZ(Lysozyme C) is also named as LZM and belongs to the glycosyl hydrolase 22 family. It catalyzes the hydrolysis of the bacterial cell wall beta(1-4) glycosidic linkages between N-acetylmuramic acid and N-acetylglucosamine. In tissues and body fluids this protein is associated with the monocyte-macrophage system and enhance the activity of immunoagents. LYZ is capable of both hydrolysis and transglycosylation; it shows also a slight esterase activity. Defects in LYZ are a cause of amyloidosis type 8 (AMYL8). The full length protein has a signal peptide with 18 amino acid.
