  IHC staining of human tonsillitis using 98756-2-RR (same clone as 98756-2-PBS)

  Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded human tonsillitis tissue slide using 98756-2-RR (M-CSF antibody) at dilution of 1:1000 (under 20x lens). Heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 9.0). This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 98756-2-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  1x10^6 MG-63 cells were intracellularly stained with 0.25 ug Anti-Human M-CSF Rabbit RecAb (98756-2-RR, Clone: 252446E3) (red) or 0.25 ug Rabbit IgG Isotype Control Recombinant Antibody (98136-1-RR, Clone: 240953C9) (blue), and PE-Conjugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L). Cells were fixed and permeabilized with Intracellular Flow Cytometry Fixation & Permeabilization Buffer Kit (PF00019). This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 98756-2-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Background Information

M-CSF plays an essential role in the regulation of survival, proliferation and differentiation of hematopoietic precursor cells, especially mononuclear phagocytes. M-CSF promotes the release of proinflammatory chemokines, and thereby plays an important role in innate immunity and in inflammatory processes. It also plays an important role in the regulation of osteoclast proliferation and differentiation, the regulation of bone resorption, and is required for normal bone development. On the cellular level, M-CSF promotes reorganization of the actin cytoskeleton, regulates formation of membrane ruffles, cell adhesion and cell migration and plays a role in lipoprotein clearance.
