  FC experiment of Transfected HEK-293T using 98361-3-RR (same clone as 98361-3-PBS)

  1x10^6 HEK-293T cells (left) or MMP8 transfected HEK-293T cells (right) were intracellularly stained with 0.25 ug Anti-Rat MMP8 Rabbit RecAb (98361-3-RR, Clone: 242473B12) and PE-conjugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG. Cells were fixed with 4% PFA and permeabilized with Flow Cytometry Perm Buffer. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 98361-3-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Background Information

Matrix metalloproteinase 8 (MMP-8), also known as collagenase 2 or neutrophil collagenase, belongs to the family of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs). As an enzyme that degrades fibrillar collagens imparting strength to the fetal membranes, MMP8 is expressed by leukocytes and chorionic cytotrophoblast cells (PMID:15367487). MMP-8 has physiological roles in tissue remodeling of the ECM during tissue injury and wound healing.
