Background
RAB5A is a core member of the Rab family within the Ras superfamily of small GTPases and a marker protein for early endosome formation. Localized in the cell membrane and early endosome membrane, RAB5A acts as a molecular switch regulating the docking and fusion of endocytic vesicles, making it a key regulator of the endocytic pathway.
