Background Information
NXPE4, also known as FAM55D and C11orf33, belongs to thNeurexophilin family. NXPE4 was down-regulated when TNFAIP3, a key regulator in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), was knocked down, and IBD are closely associated with the incidence of CRC. Thus, NXPE4 may be a key factor in the pathogenesis of IBD and CRC (PMID: 31297877).
