  Various lysates were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 18739-1-AP (PROP1 antibody) at dilution of 1:3000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 18739-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Background Information

PROP1 belongs to the paired homeobox family. It contains one homeobox DNA-binding domain. PROP1 is possibly involved in the ontogenesis of pituitary gonadotropes, as well as somatotropes, lactotropes and caudomedial thyrotropes. It is expressed specifically in embryonic pituitary. Mutation of PROP1 will cause combined pituitary hormone deficiency (CPHD) which is characterized by impaired production of growth hormone (GH) and one or more of the other five anterior pituitary hormones.
