Background Information
Paraspeckle component 1 (PSPC1) is a paranuclear spot protein, which is known as a paraspeckle biomarker and is a putative transcription factor that belongs to the Drosophila behavior/human splicing family with limited knowledge about its role in cancers. High PSPC1 expression in cancer tissues compared to corresponding benign tissues is associated with late tumor stages in patients with cancer and poor patient survival in breast, lung, and liver cancers.
