  Affinity and Kinetic Characterization of 86129-1-RR

  Biolayer interferometry (BLl) kinetic assays of 86129-1-RR against Human PUM1 were performed. The affinity constant is 2.46 nM.

Background Information

PUM1, also named as Pumilio homolog 1, is a 1186 amino acid protein, which is expressed in brain, heart, kidney, muscle, intestine and stomach. PUM1 as sequence-specific RNA-binding protein that acts as a post-transcriptional repressor by binding the 3'-UTR of mRNA targets. PUM1 binds to an RNA consensus sequence, the Pumilio Response Element (PRE), 5'-UGUANAUA-3', that is related to the Nanos Response Element (NRE). The calculated molecular weight of PUM1 is 126 kDa, but the modified PUM1 is about 130-140 kDa.
