Background Information
RAD9B is a key member of the DNA damage response and cell cycle checkpoint family. Homologous to RAD9A, it typically functions as a subunit of the 9-1-1 complex (RAD9B-RAD1-HUS1), which is loaded onto chromatin in response to DNA damage or replication stress. This complex activates the ATM/ATR kinase pathway to mediate cell cycle arrest, DNA repair, or apoptosis.
