  IF Staining of rat brain using CL488-21064

  Immunofluorescent analysis of (4% PFA) fixed rat brain tissue using CoraLite® Plus 488 Synaptopodin antibody (CL488-21064) at dilution of 1:200.

• 

  FC experiment of U-87 MG using CL488-21064

  1X10^6 U-87 MG cells were intracellularly stained with 0.8 ug CoraLite® Plus 488 Anti-Human Synaptopodin (CL488-21064) (red), or 0.8 ug CoraLite® Plus 488-conjugated Rabbit IgG control Rabbit PolyAb (CL488-30000, Clone: ) (blue). Cells were fixed with 4% PFA and permeabilized with Flow Cytometry Perm Buffer (PF00011-C).

Background Information

Synaptopodin is a actin-associated protein expressed in mature dendritic spines and renal podocytes. Several isoforms of synaptopodin have been reported: the 100 kDa neural form and 110 kDa renal form. 44-45 kDa may represent the degradation product of synaptopodin. As a podocyte specific protein, synaptopodin expression level was decreased in kidney but increased in the urinary podocytes from patients with preeclampsia, indicating that synaptopodin is a useful marker for preeclampsia.
