  WB analysis of K-562 using 10097-2-AP (same clone as 10097-2-PBS)

  K-562 cells were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 10097-2-AP (TFPT antibody) at dilution of 1:600 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 10097-2-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 9.0). This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 10097-2-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Background Information

TFPT/FB1 is one of three fusion partners of the E2A gene. TFPT/FB1 is expressed at low level in a variety of human tissues, including hemopoietic cell lines from different lineages. The function of the putative TFPT/FB1 protein, however, is currently unknown as database sequence comparisons have failed to reveal strong homology with known proteins. The E2A-TFPT/FB1 fusion appears to be a recurrent feature of pre-B ALLs, suggesting that it might have a role in the development and/or progression of leukemogenesis. The gene encoding TFPT/FB1 is localized on 19q13.4.
