Background Information
Thyrotropin-releasing hormone-degrading ectoenzyme (TRHDE) belongs to the peptidase M1 family. TRHDE expression is detected at relatively late phases of brain development. TRHDE functions to inactivate thyrotropin-releasing hormone (PMID: 30518145, PMID: 32457627).
