Background Information
UBAP1L, is a fairly unknown protein. It is predicted to enable ubiquitin binding activity and is believed to be involved in the ubiquitin-dependent protein catabolic process through the multivesicular body sorting pathway. It is also predicted to be part of endosomal sorting complexes required for transport. UBAP1L contains a SOUBA domain, which begins at amino acid residue 269 and extends to the C terminus of the protein. This domain is similar to the one found in UBAP1, where it is known to interact with ubiquitin (PMID: 38293907).
