Visualize Histones in live cells: Histone-Chromobody

The Histone Chromobody® is a novel probe to visualize endogenous histone H2A-H2B heterodimer in live cells and monitor chromatin dynamics

The ChromoTek  Histone-Chromobody®*   is a novel probe to visualize endogenous histone H2A-H2B heterodimer in live cells:

  • Monitors chromatin dynamics
  • Tested in yeast, flies, and mammals
  • Non-invasive and real-time analysis

The  Histone-Chromobody   consists of a functional intracellular antibody, also called “Nanobody”, VHH, or single domain antibody (sdAb), derived from alpaca. The VHH is genetically fused to enhanced Green Fluorescent Protein (EGFP).

After expression, the small 42 kDa Histone-Chromobody is a superior probe for real time analysis of endogenous H2A-H2B heterodimer in live cells. The Histone-Chromobody is optimized for live cell imaging and live cell microscopy.

ChromoTek is the inventor of patent-protected Chromobodies. Alongside Chromobodies, ChromoTek has also established GFP-Trap®, the most frequently cited anti-GFP affinity tool based on VHH technology.

Chromobody and GFP-Trap are registered trademarks of ChromoTek GmbH.
