  WB analysis of mouse skin using 18837-1-AP (same clone as 18837-1-PBS)

  mouse skin tissue were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 18837-1-AP (HMCN1 Antibody) at dilution of 1:1000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 18837-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Background Information

Hemicentin-1 (HMCN1), also known as fibulin-6 (FIBL-6), is an extracellular protein of the immunoglobulin superfamily. HMCN1 consists of a von Willebrand A domain, tandem immunoglobulin modules, tandem EGF modules, and a fibulin carboxy-terminal module (PMID: 24912920). Mutations of HMCN1 gene may be associated with age-related macular degeneration. Three alternative transcripts encoding different HMCN1 isoforms have been described. This antibody raised against a synthesized peptide corresponding to 960-976 amino acids of human HMCN1 can recognize all three isoforms of HMCN1.
